LOST ALL MAPS on the TomTom GO 510

just done an update and have lost all my maps, any idea how I can get them back please, I have the Tom Tom Go 510. I cant even access the setting menu on my device as on the screen it says "No Maps Available"
reinstall a map you already own or go to the TomTom shop to buy a map. I have lifetime maps so shouldn't need to buy. Please help
