My GO Essential does not load the map

my tomtom go essential for 4 days, I have no wifi connection, I connected tomtom to pc via usb I downloaded and installed mydrive successfully, the network recognizes tomtom perfectly, the pc says that everything works in the right way, starts downloading the updates but, after about 20% warns me (no internet connection) actually the connection works well internet works but, now I find myself with a new tomtom without maps unusable because? How can I solve the problem? an eternal thanks to anyone who knows how to solve the problem without having to buy another GRAZIE, P.S. I have to move to work in a region that I absolutely don't know, I need it.

Welcome to the community!
Could you do a soft reset and check for updates again?
I would also suggest that you try updating it on a different WiFi network or on a different computer with a fast internet connection.
