XXL won't load the map after update by TomTom HOME

Hey,
i',m from the netherlands and i have a xxl2009_plus_2048_black with the serial RWxxxxxxxx61
I know that tomtom won't update that model anymore, but i thought i do one last time the update en then it's done. I connected the tomtom by usb to my computer and ran the system and map update via tomtom home.
But with the restart, the tomtom is now saying 'problem with the map, you can't use this map (western europe 100309) on this device.
Sorry for the bad translation, has someone a idea to solve this problem?

This is a customer based forum and is here to enable fellow customers help one another.
I think you will find that having declared XXL models obsolete over 2 years ago Tomtom do not provide the facility to update your device to the last map that was available at that time.

Devices with lifetime maps are not affected
Tomtom have already stated that Lifetime Maps and any Existing Map Subscriptions will be honoured
