My device screen is not responding

device stopped working. When you touch the screen the menu button turns blue but does nothing.
the zoom arrow keys work. tried resetting device by reinstalling and still the same.

bought a replacement screen and fitted. still does the same.

Thinking it may be a software issue but cannot see any way of updating etc

Any ideas may be helpful before i move to another navigation device manufacturer! Finding tomtom very annoying!
