Has anyone any advice on an air vent mount for a Go Premium (6" screen). There appears to be one listed by TomTom with the correct magnetic style mount, but compatibility appears to show for the 5" models only. This seems strange but maybe weight is a problem. Any advice would be appreciated..

Hi
@hkgellon
Tomtom do not recommend the Air-vent Mount for the 6" Models, the Air-vent Mount is only for use with the 5" models, they are concerned about the weight of the 6" devices on the air-vent slats
I use the Dashboard Mount discs
https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav/accessories/mounts-docks/dashboard-mount-disks/
Mount set for Dashboard use...
The Mount twisted around the ball joint 180 Degrees... For Windscreen use...
The ball joint is tight, it has to stand the weight of the 6" Units without getting 'PND' (Premature Navigation Droop)

If you are willing to pay a bit the Brodit proclips and active dock holders are very good. You can buy the clips by vehicle model and they usually offer 2 or 3 alternatives positions. You then buy the active mount for the TomTom model. They do not make one specifically for the Go Premium but the version for Go 6200 fits perfectly6

i wouldn't put a sat nav there anyway, the heat coming out during winter is massive5

Hi YamFazMan
Many thanks for your reply, but it was the one I feared. I bought replaced my XXL with a 6 inch model, but regrettably when used with the mount and a dashboard disc it blocks more of the view than I am happy with. Should have thought that out before I bought.
With my thanks

Thanks J Cattell
Unfortunately my car does not appear in their info and enquiries have elicited no satisfactory solutions. Have experimented a bit and come up with a reasonably satisfactory position that I can live with. Not ideal, but ok.
Thanks also to Kingjohn.
I thought of that but concluded it was not really a worry for me living in the south of Scotland. The car is usually laid up during winter (reasonably mild) and the heating seldom needed during the summer.0
