Lack of directions

I have just purchased a Tom Tom Start 52 and I find that the directions given by "Serena" are somewhat lacking. For instance- when I used a Tom Tom one and entered a roundabout it always said "take the exit" this may seem trivial but other instructions are not said, like when I pass a junction it does not say keep right. Maybe I am being petty but I would have thought they should be better.

Check all the options have been selected in Voices and also in warnings and sounds that you have Read aloud selected and the further options on the page are selected as wanted.
Also check if you Tap Menu that the Loudspeaker bottom left os not crossed through and that the volume slider is well to the right and the voice icon is not crossed through.
