Hi,
I wonder if you can help?
I have a motorcycle Rider 400/410 and I am trying to find out how to use it in the best way to follow a path that I have originated with planning software.
I am wondering which of the two forms of file would be best to use.
Let me explain.
I know that there is a choice of a ROUTE or a TRACK which can be programmed into the Satnav but my quandary is; which is the best for my purposes?
What I find is that when I go slightly wrong on the predetermined path, I am not sure how to get back onto it at its nearest point to continue.
I believe that the ROUTE file in effect stores a series of waypoints whereas the TRACK file provides a more precise and accurate adherence to the programmed roads.
Could you also explain what preferences would need to be setup on the Satnav so that it didn’t go off on a Route of its own but puts me back on the desired path as quickly as possible.
Thanks,
Leigh Gubb
