Rider 550 does it suffer from condensation

Hi guys
I have had a rider 40 for a few years now all good but the other day warm and dry the screen clouded with condensation. So maybe time for a upgrade however need to know if the 550 rider has a condensation issue as will opt for the garmin instead.

    As for as i know TomTom improved the screen seal.

    Some older models had a condensation problem during heavy rain.
    When you have this problem contact TomTom Support for repair.

    It is also possible to get this problem when the USB or SD-card lid is not closed 100%.
    You can dry the unit by with USB or SD-card lid open in a paper towel using dry rice.

    I never had a condensation problem with mi Rider 550.

    My Rider 550 showed heavy signs of condensation, huge areas of condensed water wandering around the display thru the day. After just one single day of driving in the rain.
    Currently, I store it for a few days in a sealed plastic bag filled with rice, to see if the situation improves.
    If not, I'll return the device under warranty.

    Contact TomTom support for a replacement.

    There is a problem with te seal.
    The next rain shower jou gezet the same problem.

    My Rider 550 showed signs of condensation, large area of condensed water on the display after just one day of heavy rain. It started to dry out as I was driving but not completely gone yet.. I am trying the rice trick and will see how we get on.
    Does TomTom warranty cover this if it isnt successful ?

    During the warranty without problems but once finished ????
    a freezer bag in the pocket if needed

    An update on my leaking 550.
    Tomtom told me to return the unit for a repair as it is in its warranty period. However they received the unit and said it wasnt covered and wanted 100 euro to do the works. I have refused to pay and requested the unit be returned but still awaiting the unit. Its now been away for about 4 weeks.
    So disappointed with their customer service/support.

    The other potential water leak sites are the rubber bungs for the Micro USB Port & the Micro SDHC memory slot... If they are not pushed fully home, i.e... flush with the surface of the Rider outer case....
