why doesn't my sat nav work?

i did an update last week, and since then it keeps shutting down and generally driving me up the wall

There have been issues with the 1005 and it might be an idea to look at the following topic . The solutions start from about page 3 but I would take the time to read the whole topic and try some of the ideas. Patience seems to be the order of the day as it is needed to get the unit back working and then look at the Map zones which seems to be the final solution.
