My TomTom Rider 450 continues to disconnect during the update.
I already have:
- reinstalled Mydrive
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the navigator from Device Manager
- restored the navigator

How can I solve it?

    Hi
    @Manuonico

    Welcome to the site
    Re "Download/installation interrupted".....
Are your USB ports set for power saving "USB Selective Suspend"

    Win7 See... http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/147369-usb-selective-suspend-turn-off.html

    Win10 See… https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/73187-turn-off-usb-selective-suspend-windows-10-a.html
Click on link and scroll down to "Turn Off USB Selective Suspend"

Also turn off any Screen savers any other Power savers or USB port monitoring software installed

Do you have or have access to a 'Surface Dock', if so plug your device into a USB port on that. Others have found that to work

On the Win10 tablets, Microsoft has hidden the "USB Selective Suspend" menu
You will need to edit the Registry for the USB Selective Suspend menu to show

    Dell XPS 9360: i7-8550u-16GB-512GB

    Laptop over Wifi (DW: 12Mbps)

The problem isn't internet connection, but connection between TomTom and USB port

    Hi
    @Manuonico

Wow !!! That's a really slow Internet connection
On the latest NAV5 (Wi-fi) devices Tomtom recommend a minimum 30MB/s connection

Is the Laptop running on the Internal Battery or Mains Power
Some laptops have a different USB Selective suspend setting option depending if Laptop is using Battery or Mains Power

You Have checked the USB Selective Suspend in the Win10 Power Setting menu ???

In italy, 15 Mbps is the average of internet connection unfortunately...
I have already check the USB Selective Suspend but there isn't in advanced setting of energy saver.

i try to connect the TomTom and I wait until the download wasn't finished then I try to disconnect TomTom and retry

    This is the error message:

    Connection procedure:
connect the device directly to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
    Turn on the device.
Tip: ONLY use the USB cable supplied with the device. Other USB cables may not work. The USB cable must be connected directly to a USB port on the computer and not to a USB hub or USB port on the keyboard or monitor. Do not use the stand to connect the device to the computer.

My Linx 10/10 Win10 Tablet was exactly the same... I had to edit the Registry to activate the Advanced setting in the Power Menu

Maybe contact Dell Technical Support and ask if USB Selective Suspend has been deactivated on your model of Laptop

I tried with an HUB and type C port, but it not work.

I have solved the problem with this:

"On the Win10 tablets, Microsoft has hidden the "USB Selective Suspend" menu
You will need to edit the Registry for the USB Selective Suspend menu to show

    Thank you!!

The 550 can update over WiFi directly, no need for USB or a laptop. Just configure its WiFi settings , and connect to your router, then update. Why are you using a laptop and USB?

Because it's not a Rider 550... The device in question is a Rider 450
