i have a start 20 sat nav and can not get GPS.
when i connect to my drive it says up to date
but still can not get GPS
any ideas how to solve the problem
Make sure your unit has all the latest updates loaded and is charged for about 2 hours and if you can do the following whilst it is being charged all the better.
Go outside well away from Buildings and Trees etc with a clear view of the sky around you. Now turn on the Start 20 and when working hold the ON/OFF button down for about 20 seconds until you hear the Drumroll Sound then let the button go.
The unit will start up again and when it is ready create a route to somewhere and then leave the unit still for the next 30 minutes or so and see if it now locks onto the Sats.
Once it has done this it should lock on quicker next time. Bear in mind that it will not lock on when you are indoors or surrounded by buildings etc.
Maybe obvious, but:
The initial GPS lock might take a little while and you need to be outdoors in a clear area. If you are trying it indoors it won't work.
