Hi everyone am after some advice I used to use my trusty old rider v2 but it ended its life sometime ago, I have since bought a rider 550. Instead of routing new cables can I tap into the previous wiring for my rider v2? Maybe just installing direct to battery would be better but I know my old gps unit is wired into the front indicator wiring, done by the shop when I bought my XT660Z Teneré so it's only powered when the bike is turned on. I know it's pretty basic stuff to wire direct & from what I have read online it does not drain much power when the bike is turned off (with gps unit removed!). So could I use the previous install cables to tap into & run my new unit or would you advice a complete fresh hard wire direct? Many thanks in advance all....

Just use the current V2 connection.
Beter than wire directly to the accu.
