I recently upgraded my device from Go Live 825 to Go Premium X. I found out that when I want to plan a new route from my device and places with the same name or similar to what I'm searching for are displayed, the distance from my location is no longer being shown as used to happen with the Go Live 825.
This is not the case when searching from a location from mydrive.tomtom.com site or the mobile app.
I have searched the Settings section on the device but I cannot find anything to set.
Are other users having the same problem or am I missing a particular setting?
Your help will be greatly appreciated

HI @girbi
You have got your search option set as Step by Step.
Tap Settings
Tap System
Tap Choose a search mode
Change to Quick Search
If you are in the UK this is a good idea as it resolves a problem with Post Codes in Rural areas if you use the Step by Step option.
You will find that when you change to Quick Search that it now says Search instead of Drive to.

Hi
@girbi
If you prefer a more local search to global search....
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Search... Screen Top Right (Tap Whole Map Icon)
A local search window with more search Options will open
The Premium X
Has 2 Search engines
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> System... Choose a search mode
Quick Search... (Default) and the best
Step by Step Search... ( Note Step by Step is Useless for Postcode searches in the UK)
This is a long standing problem....
The Postcode code search bug when using the latest Start 42/52/62 devices is a real pain ( Step Search is optional on the other models in the range)
Any search for a Postcode... You have to enter a road/street name to execute a search ??? Why....
If you know the road/street name and a house number you don't need the Postcode
Most people use a Postcode because they don't know the road/street name and house number
Isolated farms, Single building, Office blocks, Retail parks, Hospitals, New builds etc...
For me it renders the latest Start device useless in the UK
