How do I copy from a memory card to a new, larger capacity card

I have an 8gb card but apparently there isn't enough space to take latest downloads. How do I replace the existing memory card with a larger capacity card? Do I have to copy from card to card or if I simply replace the card will My Drive Connect simply recognise what's missing when I connect my device and re-download any missing items?

Hi @dinnodaze
If you have a fully working map on the internal memory then you should be able to take the 8gb extra memory card out of the GO500 and the unit will still start up and work.
If that is the case and it using the European map then you can insert a new bigger card, 16gb or max 32gb, and format it for maps. Then when you connect the unit to MDC you should be able to install the updated European map and it will go on the extra memory card as it is as much as 9.3gb now.
If when you take the card out the unit works and it is using the USA map then you do the same as above but now you will be able to install the European map from MDC.. This will the update on the extra memory card. If you do this then also try to load the USA map particularly if it will fit on the internal memory. This is a safeguard should you have a problem updating Europe in future as you will have a valid map on the unit si=o it will start up and you can sort the problem out.

Yes I do. I’m being asked to uninstall USA, Mexico etc - not used, to free space but then when I do and try to update Europe the download says 0% downloaded, time remaining 0 minutes0
