Internet connection issues Downloading maps RIDER 550

Having issues trying to download maps onto my Tom Tom rider 550.
It is taking days and nights to download maps as I keep getting oops you have no internet connection message to resolve this I have to shut down the Tom Tom rider 550 and re start for it to recognise my WiFi again. It is not my internet connection, as the same thing happens if I use my mobile phone as a WiFi hotspot as well. Any ideas before I launch the f”””””ng thing in a bin.
