What have I done, update gone wrong? - Go 6000

Hi
I thought I would update my device today (haven't done it for a year), and it all updated for everything, then I double checked and ticked the live camera update, this took over 2 hours , it has now lost all my recent destinations and I cannot seem to put any post code in, it just does nothing.
any ideas?

    Do the search options look different to before the update
    Has your search engine switch to Step by Step search Mode ???
    To check... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> System --> Choose search mode
    (1)... Quick search is the Default and best search engine
    (2)... Step by Step search is dreadful for postcodes in the UK... you need to know the street name AND the Post code before you can complete the search

    If this is what's happened switch back to Quick search mode
