I had the same problem since last week, and followed various official recommendations on the Support page (like updating MyDrive Connect.) I also noted that there was a banner announcing a problem, and saying TomTom were working hard to fix it.
But nothing changed till, having spent some hours trying alternative "solutions" I too did a full uninstall/reinstall, which fixed the problem immediately. It is a pity the Support page didn't give more accurate.and helpful information - TomTom support is usually very good.
