I have like many lost my GPS signal on my Tom Tom Start. I have done a factory reset, cold reset etc but without luck.
The next recommendation is to go to TomTom Home and check for updates. This I have failed at as on my Windows 7 machine it says the driver for my device is not valid. I have the original cable plugged into a direct enabled USB port. As a result TomTom home says it cannot see any device and hence I cannot do updates to my device
Any help would be much appreciated please

Hi @SpencerGilbertson
Not sure about this but with Home running and the unit connected have you gone into Control Panel , then Devices and Drivers where you unit may be listed, possibly as a Remote NDIS compatible device. If you click on that can you select the Driver Tab and ask for an update of the Driver.
Hope that helps.
