Assistance required in setting current date manually on TomTom Golive 825

Until a firmware update is available for my TomTom GoLive825, is there any way I can set the GPS clock manually on the device to the current date quickly? At the moment, because of that dumb stupid week number rollover, the date shows 1 September 2009 and the only way I seem to be able to set the correct date and time manually is by hitting the up arrow....this is taking like for ever! Anyone have this problem? I mean...it isn't a keyboard where one can just go and type the current date and time...only the up and down arrows are available. :s
