A friend of ours had this TomTom from a friend (whose husband had died). This without login details, because she did not know them. Our girlfriend has been using this TomTom for years, and she charges it by connecting to a laptop. Now this has caused problems with the laptop and she would like to charge this TomTom on the mains, but the cord only has a USB connection and she has nothing else.
The questions are:
1. Can she buy a device so that she can charge the TomTom via the mains?
2. Is there a possibility to update and / or upgrade this TomTom?

    You are on the English forum and it's not prudent to give personal information on a forum...

    To charge the TomTom device use the main charger of a smartphone/tablet/iphone (1 or 2A).

    Your device is a Start20 with 4GB of internal memory + microSD slot (serial number starting with AP). It is still supported by TomTom.

    The services are connected to the device not to the owner.
