How does one sync and connect watch so after my activity is complete, it uploads directly to strava.
And once the workout is done, do you hold left key to complete the workout ?
You press left twice to pause and save. To set up any upload or export you need to go to the Apps & Exporting tab in TomTom Sports, where you can select the service to upload to or the file type to export. Enter your credentials for any site selected and it will upload whenever you sync (by app or PC) go forward. For file exports it will save the files in a dated folder under TomTom Sports on your machine along with the ttbin. To get exported files you need to use the PC sync, the app sync will not export files, it will only upload. Note that for non-GPS activities you will not get KML or GPX files as these formats require GPS points. Please also note this only sets up the upload for future activities, it will not go back and reupload old ones. In addition, it will only upload sports activities, not daily activity tracking like steps.
If you just got the watch I would take care with your buying decision considering TomTom left the wearables business 18 months ago and is just selling out their inventory. All production and development has stopped and there will be no new features or changes to the existing features in the future. There is no longer support by email or phone and replacement straps are near impossible to find. If you are able, you may want to consider returning the device and going with another brand that is active in the sports watch market and intends to continue producing and supporting devices.
