I have now twice done the recommended update installation . But it just keeps saying "searching for satellite " for hours on end and has also lost the correct time. I have tried a hard re-start with no luck
The units sort out their time when they connect to the satellites.
Try this.
Fully Charge the unit then go outside well away from Buildings and trees etc. They struggle to see the sats indoors.
Now do a Soft Reset., with the unit on ready to work hold down the ON?OFF button for about 20 seconds until you hear the drumroll sound then let the button go.
Now set a route and start it so it would work if you drove off
Now leave the unit alone for quite some time, as much as 30 minutes or more, to see if it locks on to the sats. If you can have it charging whilst it is sitting there then do so but keep the area clear around it.
