Start 25 not recognised by any Mac computer

Hi all, my tomtom start 25 was affected by the SatNav GPS Week Number Rollover and stopped working at all after April 6th. on MyDrive I can see the updates my device needs, but it is not recognised by any Mac computer. I have tried all advice and instructions given on this site and www, resets, re-installing drivers, but nothing helps. When plugged in, I can see the 'computer' icon on the device, and that it is charging, but the mac doesn't see the device at all. could this be a MAC OS x issue still, since the tomtom / mydrive used to open fine and see my device before I had to upgrade to Sierra.
