I have a VIA 160, according to my account details. I have MyDrive and windows 10 and the device is not being seen by the computer, despite the device seeing the computer. Do I need to find someone with an older operating system so I can apply the WNRO update?

Both answers rely on windows 10, which of course is the latest version thanks to mandatory updates, seeing tommy, which it doesn't -although it used to!
