MyDrive connect installation and running-Help Needed Please MDCDLLChecker.exe - System Error

I'm running Win 8.1 Ent X64 and tried more times than I care to mention to install TT My Drive Connect. Every single time it fails to install with the following error.
Please before I throw this kit out the Window is there anyone that can tell me how to get round this problem please.

MDCDLLChecker.exe - System Error

The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-heap-I1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I've tried reinstalling about twenty times now but to no avail.

Seriously welcoming anyone that knows how to fix this issue please. Thanks in advance.

    api-ms-win-crt-heap-I1-1-0.dll

    110.dll errors have already been reported on the forum, but were mostly for Windows 7 and runtime-110dll.

    If you are in Windows 8.1 you can try the classic solution before the downgrade solution.
    If you are in Windows 8.0 upgrade to 8.1 or try directly N°4, the downgrade solution.

    An 'Windows Enterprise' version is often for a business computer. You have the adminstrator rights on this PC to install software and launch 'Windows Updates'?

    Do all your 'Windows Updates'. To install the latest version MDC 4.2.5.3734 your Windows 8.1 must have a 'Windows Update KB' installed before.

    -1/ Uninstall MyDrive Connect (MDC) and Visual C++ 2015 via the Control Panel/Uninstall a program
    - Restart your PC (Not Shut down or Sleep)

    -2/ Download the missing Windows KB2999226 here:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2999226/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows
    For W8.1 64bits this is the 2nd line of the gray board ==> All supported x64-based versions of Windows 8.1
    - Restart your PC (Not Shut down or Sleep)

    -3/ Download and install the latest version MDC 4.2.5.3734
    - On this page, at the bottom, the green button "Download for Windows:registered:":

    - Or here directly from TomTom official servers:

    -4/ If nothing works, you can download the downgrade version 4.1.8.3408 here directly from the official TomTom servers:
    http://cdn.sa.services.tomtom.com/static/sa/versions/InstallMyDriveConnect_downgrade.exe

    This version is built like the previous before january 2018 with Visual C++ 2010.
    Double- click on the file, the installer will remove the MDC present on your PC before installing the downgrade version.
    It doesn't force the update of the software, it will leave you quiet.
