Hi, in order to update with the latest available I need to buy a memory card - but when I click through it takes me to a page that doesn't seem to have a blank one (which I assume is what I need?) Please can someone advise what I should buy. Thank you.

HI @CarolineDBC
Micro SD Class 10 memory card. Suggest Sandisk or Samsung or similar major maker from a reliable source to reduce the risk of getting a fake. Size 16gb or Max 32GB recommended.

That's perfect, thanks Doug0

Oh PS - why ma 32gb - wouldn't a bigger one be better?

Hi @CarolineDBC
The maximum extra memory size that Tomtom units take is 32gb. The Full European map is 8.9gb so you can see that you can get a lot of the world on the internal and 32 gb of extra memory. You are probably having to get the extra memory because a map on your internal memory is now too big to fit there. When you load the updated map now that it is on the extra memory it has freed up the internal memory because tha map that was there will have been deleted. This is then available for any small map you should need.

You're a star, thanks so much for the explanation that makes sense. I'll order one now.0

Thank you for this -I have exactly the same question. I'm shocked how bad the FAQ/support is from Tomtom. So this forum is a life saver.0
