i cant get my updates to come in and it is showing no map available on my via 53?

how do i get i to download through the cable instead of the built in wifi?

    USE OF MYDRIVE CONNECT AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO A WI-FI® CONNECTION
    If you do not have access to a Wi-Fi® network or your Wi-Fi® network is slow or unstable, it may be best to connect to a computer with an Internet connection. To do this, you need to install MyDrive Connect.

    If you have not installed MyDrive Connect, you can see how to install it in our FAQ: Installing MyDrive Connect.

    Once you have installed and opened MyDrive Connect, connect your GPS to your computer using the USB cable. Your GPS will then use the Internet connection via MyDrive Connect. Now do the following on your device:

    In Guidance mode, touch the Main Menu option.
    Touch Settings, then Updates and New Items.
    You should see the available updates or a message informs you that your GPS is up to date.
