Switching on TomTom device

I've just installed my new TomTom Start 52 on my computer, but I can't switch on the device! It's still connected to my computer via USB.

    Leave the device connected to the computer for about 2-3 hours to ensure the battery is fully charged. If you have a mains charger, the time can be less (2 hours).

    Also.......

    Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds.
