Update jammed

I am travelling in Spain and was an idiot and decided to update... The Tom Tom shows No Maps Installed and I can not get it to uninstall or repair....it keeps failing. If I go in to Connect I can see the corrupted map and as soon as I connect it starts to download, I can not get it to stop that and just remove and start again. Totally frustrated at this point. …… HELP!

    ok. Well I left it overnight and that seemed to do the trick. It had previously said it was successful 3 times and then gave the No Maps code...but this morning it is on line. YAY

    When an update is happening one of the first things that happens is that the old map is removed in order to make space. This is why people can find no map on the unit if there was an interruption. Also if there has been an a break the unit will try to recommence where it left off updating.
