VIA 1435TM updates?

When I connect my VIA 1435TM to MyDrive Connect, while it states updates available, it will not connect to computer, & states that new updates are no longer being sold for my unit. Should I still be able to update?

    I think so, yes. Call support:

    Especially since devices with lifetime maps (the 'M' in your device name) will continue to get updated maps according to Tomtom.

    Is there a UK phone number to try? I am getting this problem when in MyDrive Connect for my VIA 110 also. I've tried resetting and then restoring factory settings but no joy.

    I am afraid the Via 110 unit is on the list of Obsolete units. Below is the announcement with the list of units involved and the implications of this decision..

    Your unit only has either a 2gb or 4gb of internal memory for all the software and maps etc and no facility for adding to that memory. The latest units maps for Europe is circa 9gb.
