Speed camera warning only on planned route? How about on map when no route is given?

Garmin navigators show speed cameras even when only the map is opened and no route planning is done.
Is this possible whith this 6200 Wifi model?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
The Go6200 devices also warn of speed cameras when no route is planned and the map is open.1 -
If You say so. I shall check this today. The speed cameras dont show on the map if you dont have a route programmed.0

They won't be on the map, but you will be alerted to any approaching speed cameras as you drive.
The only thing is you may get a few false positives, as the TomTom's having to second-guess which route you're taking.0 -
Hi
@Jan-Erik Söderholm
Copy&Paste from a previous post of mine....
Out today... Using my GO 520, I drove around without route planned
Using the 2D, 3D and the North up Overview Maps
In all three Modes, the device warned of.....
Exceeding the Speed Limit
Fixed Speed cameras
Mobile Speed camera Hot Spots
Average speed camera zones (Motorway)
I can't see any reason why.....
Approaching Stationary Queuing Traffic
Red Light Camera... Wouldn't also Show
Any 3rd Party POI you have loaded and set to display on the Map... All display the Tomtom generic Icon OK
I didn't Notice if petrol stations were displayed on the map or not

Actually I have a 520 and have not received a single warning driving to and from work and I go through three fixed camera zones each way. This is an issue.0

HI @feraliser
When you tap Menu do you see the Icons Top right and are they all bold or are any greyish particularly the 2 cars icon. Try this out of range of your Wifi and whilst paired with your phone. Check in Settings Bluetooth or Wifi if you are connecting from your Phone by Wifi. Try with Bluetooth only as set to work. Check settings in Sounds and Warnings.

Hi
@feraliser
For general improvement using the Tomtom Speed Cam Database over the default settings
Always use a Computer voice...
Serena or Malcolm in the UK
Also....
From the main screen... Tap (.... Menu) -> Setting -> Sounds & Warnings...
Set... 'Warning Type' to... Read Allowed... (Important... Needs a Computer Voice set in the Voices menu)
Speed Cameras & Hazards... Set to ON
The next 10 Setting ALL set to Always
The next 4 Settings ALL set to ON
The device will now say....
'Fixed Camera'
'Mobile Hot Spot'
'Red-light Camera'
'Accident Black-spots
‘Spoken Traffic delays’
Speed Cams
If you keep a check on the Traffic-bar... The device gives you a visual Warning of the next Fixed or Mobile Speed Camera many miles before you reach the camera
Even more info if in the 'Setting menus' you setup a Wide Traffic/Route Bar
