Hope someone can help with this. I've got a TomTom Go 5000 satnav device. However, since getting a new MacBook Pro, which only has the new USB-C ports I've been struggling to find a cable that I can connect my device with for updates. If I plug in via an adaptor the laptop doesn't recognise the TomTom. It has to connect direct - not through an adaptor.

If anyone can recommend a suitable cable I'd be most grateful. Many thanks in advance!

I have the same issue and TomTom should take action on this. This is the only device I have that cannot connect via the (original Apple) adapter. There should be a replacement cable at cost price made available by TomTom, nothing less, as TomTom promised lifetime map updates and should have seen the change to USB-C coming.

They have, the latest Tomtom NAV5 (Wi-Fi) Devices update over Wi-Fi
No need for a PC/Mac at all
