Some time ago I tied to update my Go6000, the update failed. Just been having another go with it. If I turn it on, it does the clapping hands and appears to boot with the TomTom screen and the slider along the bottom of the screen then half way, it flicks to a. Screen suggesting to plug it into a. Computer. So, plug it in and goes through the restore cycle to 100% and resets. It then tries to connect to MyDrive, fails and resets, then tries to restore and never gets out of the boot, restore, fail to connect, boot restore cycle.
TomTom telephone support have been unhelpful and just say I need to buy a new one.

Hi @Oll
Have you tried the Soft Reset. Ie when it is on, in what ever state, hold down the ON?OFF button until you hear the Drumroll sound.
Have you got a Micro Sd card in it. Try with the card out so that if you have put the card in to carry the bigger maps now it may get to the point of starting but say there is no map. If the works format the Card to Fat32 in your PC an put that in
and load the map again from MyDrive Connect. Let us know if that works.
Good luck.

Hi @Oil
Make sure the card you now use is a 16gb or 32gb card. I certainly would reformat the current card if that size in a PC to Fat32 before putting it in. I would do a full format not a quick format. Then you should be able to Click on the map in My Maps in MyDrive Connect to restore it.

Hi Doug, was hanks for your advise. I’ve just re tried both of these and there is no improvement. Starting to believe it’s junk and it’s probably only had around 100 hours of use.0

I stand corrected. I’ve taken the SD card out and it has come back to life. Doug, you’re a clever man! Thanks for your help1
