Have you got a screen protector on it that is catching under the rim.
Has something caught under the rim and causing pressure on the screen.
Try a factory reset if above not the cause
If non of the above then the only thing left is a repair as the screen has probably gone. You can get replacement from Ebay but it is a tricky procedure but not impossible.
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but that screen is almost certainly physically broken - seen plenty of broken computer and TV screens to know that, however, screens can be replaced, as Doug has already said.

Looking on the positive side, I notice that in my own area a lot of mobile phone repair shops also offer Sat-Nav repairs. I assume this is not unique to Yorkshire, and so would suggest asking around a few phone shops in your locale for a price to repair your nav device.
