The above machine has today been updated with a new map. However, it will not turn off? I have tried to rest the machine and followed all the normal routines to reset it, but nothing happens.
If you cannot do a Soft Reset, ie Hold down ON/OFF button for around 20 seconds until you hear the Drumroll then a Full Rest is the next option.
Tap Menu
Tap Settings
Tap System
Tap Reset Device
Once you do this you will have to set the unit up again.
This will remove all you data ie Favourites, Poi and Route files but they should be visible on the MyDrive website when you log into your account. If they are there then they should restore when you start up your GO5000. It does not need to be connected for this as it will do the restoring of your data via the Inbuilt Mobile Sim.
