TomTom Go 50 device not connected

trying to update but shows not connected to internet, server issues or device not connected

    Hi @tej84

    1 Do a soft reset on the unit. Start the unit and when ready hold the ON/Off button down for about 20 seconds until you hear the Drumroll sound.

    2 Check that the GO 50 is logged into your Tomtom account.

    3 Open MyDrive Connect on you rPC and make sure it is the latest version. Log in and connect your GO 50 via the USB.

    thanks a lot for the reply. it connects now but when downloading the internet goes off

    Re "Download/installation interrupted".....
    Are your USB ports set for power saving "USB Selective Suspend"
    The Computer Manufacturers appear to be setting "USB Selective Suspend" to ON as default
    Especially Laptops, maybe to improve the look of the battery life
