What’s the process for transferring ownership of Go 5000 to new owner so that they get access to lifetime map updates and other services please?

    Do a full factory rest on the GO 5000.

    Tap Menu
    Tap Settings
    Tap System
    Tap Reset Device

    This deletes your account details, favourites, Poi and Route files you may have on it. etc.from the unit. The new user then sets it up with their account details.

    Open MyDrive Connect and click on Waste Bin to delete it form the Account. If you have any difficulty deleting from your account Contact Customer support .

    Whoever then has the unit can add it to their Tomtom account and the Maps etc will appear with the unit as they are tied to its serial number. Ie if you have traffic current at the moment then they will get the benefit of any remaining time.

    If you add a new unit to your account it will load anyFavourites, Poi and Route files logged to your account.
