Rider 550
Which BT protocol and transmit method Rider 550 uses? Why it can not be connected with BMW Motorrad Communication sysytem?

SuperuserThe short answer: no you can’t pair them. The same applies for similar systems like Ducati DMS.
If your headset supports it you may use them in parallel.
The long answer: It supports Bluetooth HFP & AD2P profiles but only as a master. i.e. it can only accept connections from headsets (slave devices) and transmit sound to them.
BMW Communication System is also a master. TomTom Rider should act as a slave device to transmit to your BMW but it’s not. If I remember correctly only BMW’s (Garmin Nuvi ) navigators are able to connect to it...
