My TomTom Lifetime maps will NOT update ... yet again

My TomTom was purchased from Halfords a few years ago with Lifetime Map Updates. When about 2 year old, the maps would not update. I contacted TomTom, and after some email correspondence, the problem was by some magic rectified by TomTom.

Now it's happened again. I connect to MyDrive ... it tells me it is updating ... then that it is all up to date ... and the maps are NOT updated ... I receive a message at start-up telling me my maps are way out of date.

I would very much appreciate some assistance!

    Hi

    Check the first two characters of your GO 820 serial Number

    "FA">GO LIVE 820, 8GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3... OK
    "FT">GO LIVE 820, 2GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3... Eol (End of Life)
    "FU">GO LIVE 820, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3... OK

    If your devices serial Numbers first two characters is "FT" & You have Lifetime Maps

    Devices with lifetime maps are not affected
    Tomtom have already stated that Lifetime Maps and any Existing Map Subscriptions will be honoured
