My TomTom won't connect in car anymore

I had this problem some time ago, but were able to connect through usb and after that it was ok.
Yesterday evening it blinked, and went out.

    If you are using the supplied or an alternative cable and plugging into a USB socket on the car then the unit is not getting enough power from the USB socket to run and charge up internal battery. The USB socket in a car is usually only .5 amp so your units battery is possibly now flat. The cigarette socket unit supplied with the Tomtom units is 1.5 amp output so you should be using that.
