Tomtom via 52- Voice recognition issues

I have just bought the above and it does not recognise when i try to input an address by voice, it just makes rediculous suggestions of what i might mean, any ideas what is wrong

    Hi, Yes I have Serena, all other commands are OK but it dies not understand when I try to say an address
