I have a trusty go5200 which works very well, but I have two cars. I have fitted mounts in both but I am considering buying a secondhand 5000 to use in one of them. What is the position on lifetime maps and traffic when you buy secondhand? Also, does go5000 fit go5200 mount? Regards David

    Hi 747skipper

The lifetime maps don't change when the ownership changes..

Subscriptions are embedded with the device!

No the the GO 5000 & GO 5200 Mount are not interchangeable the location lugs and power contacts are completely different

    Thanks both for your replies.
    Just a point though.
YamFazMan did you get the labels the wrong way round?
Because your picture labeled "go5000 mount" is identical to the mount on my 5200.
    Again thanks both

    Newbie question,
VikramK, I'd love to mark your post as the answer, but I can't see any way to do so.

YamFazMan my humble apologies. Old age setting in here.
My device is a 5000, not the 5200 I thought, so your pictures are perfectly correct.
    Sorry
