Workout for indoor bike does not progress past the "please wait" screen

My watch doesn't progress past the "please wait" screen while doing the indoor cycle workout. What can be done about this? The software is updated to the most recent Version 1.7.64. Thanks for any advice.

    Do you have a speed/cadence sensor attached to the bike and paired with the watch? Is it properly aligned so the watch can detect it? If not it will never start as it cannot lock on the sensor. You can turn it off under Sensors but you will then not have any sped or distance measured.

    I suddenly have the same problem, I never had this problem before. I can now only use the indoor cycling function if I switch the sensor off in settings. I never had to do this before.
