Start 25 locked up when updating on Mydrive connect, and now won't start.

Yes, I've tried the hard reset by holding down the on/off button many times, and no, it doesn't work. It will boot to the tomtom drum, then displays a small tomtom icon in the centre of the screen with a grey/blue background and a rotating arrow in the centre of the icon (not anything I've seen before when it was working ok). This arrow then stops rotating, and then the screen turns off. It was working fine until I plugged it into MyDrive to update its files. Any advice?

This is the third tomtom device that I have owned that has bricked itself while performing an update. So much for lifetime maps, I can't even buy a lifetime tomtom!

    Yes, fully charged. I've even left it unplugged for a few days to flatten the battery and then fully charged it again, but no difference.
