Can I transfer a device to a new owner.

I'm thinking of upgrading the Rider 400 to the 550, and it makes sense to auction off the the 400 to help fund the upgrade. So I'd like to be able to transfer the 400 registration to a new owner once it sells.

Just wondering if this is easy enough to do and what the best process is. I'm sure this has come up before.

Someone I know has a advised a factory reset, but I wondered whether that would remove it from my account and also does it keep all the map updates I've done over the last three years.

Any advice is welcomed. To be clear though I've not upgraded yet, just thinking about it.

    Yes, you must make an Factory reset on the device. Maps and services are linked to the serial number of the device. In addition, you can do the following in MyDrive Connect
    The Start40 is a example
