Bluetooth disconnects randomly

I've bought a new headset which is BT 5.0.
The connection is fine up until a point where it just says disconnected.

When I connect it to my phone it remains connected for more then 1.5 hours, but when connected to the watch it last not even until the end of the song.
Reconnecting works but I have to completely stop my workout since TomTom does not automatically reconnects the headset.

I have tried disabling all BT devices near the watch so that it has to take the watch but that does not help.

    I am guessing there is something in the BT 5.0 protocols that is causing a timeout issue. Since TT Sports went out of business well over a year ago, ceasing all development, the software will not be updated to support BT 5.0 so this will not change. You need to get a compatible headset which works on BT 4.0.
