Lifetime Maps update misleading

Free Lifetime Maps updates only as long as Tom Tom supports it....
My device is still 100% but Tom Tom doesn't support it anymore.Do they force me to buy a new unit every odd year?

Should have stayed with Garmin

    Tomtom EOL (End of Life) Tomtom have already stated that Lifetime Maps and any Existing Map Subscriptions will be honoured

    this is the reply fromTom Tom. Why would i want to buy a new device if there is nothing wrong with mine??? (besides them not honouring their bulls$%t lifetime map upgrades)

    Hi @Dosie

    I had a look at your device information and I don't see lifetime maps active on it since the date it was linked to your account.

    Further, the customer service has asked to provide a valid photo or a receipt which will mention the device came with lifetime maps.

    I agree, offering 25% was not the best option but I also don't find that you have sent the requested documents.
