I have tried to purchase a 3 month live update for my truck 5150 but saying my device is not compatible, but it allows me to purchase for the year. I only want to purchase a 3 month as I am leaving the company and the sat nav belongs to the company.

Are you still facing the same issue..
I tried to replicate the bug, but I don't get any error. I was able to go through the process..
I tried using Firefox browser, just in case you are using a different one...

Yes still having the same issue, the box to which you have to put the first two letters of the serial number in to see if the device is compatible says not compatible. It is ok when I choose one of the other two options. I will get onto TomTom to see if there is a way round this.

Under device type select 'Truck' and then proceed, that should help you proceed further...
