TomTom Spark Cardio Screen unresponsive - strange Icon

My watch underwent a strange buzzing, screens going funny, then battery (half full at least) appeared to discharge, then die.
I've since charged it and it is stuck on the below screen. No amount of button pushing, connecting, etc will work. It's also not connecting to the app on my phone or PC.
The watch is 2 years old and onto its third strap already - no extreme sports either.
I can't find the below icon listed anywhere and I've tried all the reset options but the phone simply won't respondfe14f3bf-7c7a-4e50-ad07-cbc2365e79fc.jpg.

    It wants you to do a factory reset (that is what the URL at the bottom that ends in "reset" is indicating). To do a factory reset, make sure the Connect software is running and dock the device to your computer. The Connect window will open; press the gear at the top right and select factory reset from the next screen. Follow the steps provided and when prompted to register or sign in to MySports, select sign in and use your existing account credentials. It is fairly straightforward and should take less than 5 minutes.

    No this does not answer my question because when I connect it to my PC via the USB cable, it does not communicate with the Tom Tom Sports connect programme

    I would try to perform a reset on your watch using the recovery mode, follow these steps:

    1. Place your watch in the dock before you connect the dock to the computer.
    2. On your watch, move DOWN but keep the button pressed. If the USB port on your computer is not easily accessible, connect the dock to the computer without the watch. Then move down from the clock screen while you slide the watch into the dock.
    3. Connect the dock to the computer. Keep pressing the button until your watch shows tomtom.com/reset.
    4. Release the button and wait for Sports Connect to show Update.
    5. Click Update in Sports Connect.

    If that does not work, you should contact Customer Support (this is a user forum, not Support). They can more deeply investigate and diagnose problems than we can here on the user forum. To get in touch with Customer Support, choose Contact Us at the bottom of this page, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Email Us or Chat (there is no longer phone support available for watches).
