No data connection (tether) after iPhone iOS 12.1 update

Since my iPhone 7 was updated to iOS 12.1, i have been unable to establish a data connection between my iPhone and GO5200 for Traffic data.

i can see that the iPhone and Go5200 are trying to establish the connection, anc seem to connect for a split second, but then fails.

i would appreciate any suggestions

    I would suggest deleting the existing connections (iPhone: Settings -> Bluetooth -> Tap on "i" for the GO5200 connections and select "Forget this device", then reboot TomTom and try re-pairing.

    I have iOS 12.1 and although it is possible to get the data connection it is not reliable.

    It frequently fails to connect without having to reboot one or both of the devices. Sometimes toggling Airplane mode on & off will prompt the connection.

    I experienced some instability but un-paired and re-paired and all is stable for weeks now.
